Since our laundry was totally out of control, we decided to take on the beast tonight while watching the Georgia basketball game on TV! Ali and Addie both helped fold their clothes and put them in separate baskets. We had quite a bucket brigade of sorts going on for awhile there! The girls are busy getting the house straight since Gran and Papa are coming to visit this weekend!
We had supper with Nanny and Poppy since Pete is working late tonight. After supper, Poppy made some cinnamon toast. I remember eating cinnamon toast as a little girl and I still love it! Ali does too. Since skinny mini needs all the calories she can get, I was glad to see her eat three slices!
We are all excited about Gran and Papa coming to visit this weekend, so it's easy to get the girls motivated to do their chores. That makes life much easier for Mama! Oh - Addie cracked me up today getting eggs. There's one hen, Miss Priss, that will never move from her nest. Ali usually uses a dowel rod to make her move, but today Addie tried an idea she learned from the movie Flicka 2, and took her umbrella into the coop. As soon as she opened the umbrella ALL the hens abandoned ship. Worked like a charm! Fourteen eggs today!
