We have all lied like dogs the last few days. Uncle Carlos is one stubborn old man. He kept insisting that he wanted to go home to Florida. We had to REALLY make up some interesting tales to keep him here long enough for guests to arrive!
The girls both got up pretty early to start getting ready for guests to arrive. Even Carlos helped clean out the garage. Poor guy! We told him Mom was having a DAR party. Little did he know he was cleaning up for his own birthday party!
The first guest to arrive was Alvin, Carlos' brother. Alvin brought Diana, Hannah and Gabe. The kids had a blast riding horses and just playing around the farm. Funny how kids who have never met can spend the entire day together having fun.
Ernie and Beth arrived with Colten shortly after lunch.
Carlos' niece and her husband came all the way from Virginia!
A couple hours later Carlos' and Bonnie's neighbors from Palm Bay, Florida began to arrive. Carlos was overwhelmed and we were so proud of ourselves for pulling off such a great surprise!

The old folks outlasted the young folks and partied late into the night.
Tomorrow we have a couple more surprises for Uncle Carlos! This has been a wonderful day none of us will soon forget!
