Addie Belle woke up this morning ready to PARTAYY...well once she actually woke up! She was worn out. After she got over being ticked off because Colten left early this morning, she was raring to go. We walked over to Mom and Dad's and they were already hoppin'! Check out Carlos' tricked out visor and Maria's military booney hat! I don't know what they were drinking. It was before 10am! We really love Maria. She was born and raised in Italy and met her husband Ted while he was serving in the Army overseas. She spoke no English and he spoke no Italian but they both spoke German, so in the early part of their relationship they could only communicate with each other in German. They are really really neat people.
Carlos' brother Andy and his nephew Andrew, Jr. arrived before lunch and they had a really good time catching up.
Around lunch time we went into town to get Carlos' cake. Maria was afraid the cake would topple so she sat in the back with it just like this all the way back home.
I loved how the cake turned out!
I think Carlos liked it too!
Ali got a cinnamon swirl from the bakery while we were picking up the cake.
In the evening we had steak for dinner and mom's favorite entertainer came to perform for Carlos and Bonnie! Carlos opened gifts and people danced late into the night. Again!
EVERYONE had a blast... especially my social butterfly, Addie Belle, who was exhausted but would not go to bed before the cake was cut!
The idea that school resumes on Monday is starting to bother me a little. We've eaten like pigs. I haven't been hungry since Wednesday of last week. Gluttony and laziness is exhausting!
